This is an Irish holiday in honor to Saint Patrick, who is credited with bringing Christianity to Ireland. This holiday is a traditional day for spiritual renewal and offering prayers for missionaries worldwide.
St. Patrick`s Day is celebrated on March 17th in many places around the world.
St. Patrick's Day is a holiday known for parades, shamrocks and all things Irish. Also leprechauns and the color green.
Saint Patrick is said to have used the shamrocks (a three-leaved plant) to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagans, and the wearing and display of shamrocks have become a global item of the day.
